Layeelah Muhammad is a photographer from Oakland, California. Her photography journey began in the first grade when she borrowed her parent's point-and-shoot camera. The love of documentation was instant. From then onwards, Layeelah has been documenting life through various mediums, such as video, photo, and writing.
Layeelah's professional career and artistic style began to develop at an apprenticeship at Destiny Arts Center. There, she learned the basics of videography and furthered her self-taught photography skills. Her ever deepening passions and love for life are reflected in the portraits she captures of such magnificent subjects.
Layeelah enjoys creating portraits that evoke the ethereal quality of a person or thing.
